It’s everyone’s FAVORITE race! The Lilac 5K/10K marks the kick-off to the warm weather. This course winds through the beautiful suburbs of Brighton, with the Start and Finish at Highland Park. Stay after you cross the finish line to enjoy the post-race party: music, mimosas, and plenty of food! Not up for the long run? We have a 1-mile Donut Dash, perfect for all ages-including a donut pitstop!
Registration for the 2023 Lilac Run is open! We are excited to announce that both in-person and virtual race experiences will be offered again this year!
The Lilac Run benefits Champion Academy, an organization that helps urban teens in poverty overcome their traumatic experiences and use them as fuel to drive their improvement as students, citizens and future professionals. Consider donating when registering!
Back again is the delicious Donut Dash at the Rochester Lilac Festival! This race is for both the competitive racer and occasional runner/walker, and provides an opportunity for participants of all ages to help benefit Champion Academy while having fun!
Participants will race a half a mile to the donut pit-stop where they will get a donut, eat it there or at the finish line to celebrate! This race is only 1-mile.
The Champion Academy Extreme Mentoring & Empowerment Initiative (Champion Academy) is a trauma-responsive mentoring program providing urban teens in poverty the critical accountability, consistency and support necessary to overcome obstacles and maximize their potential in school, at home and in the community.
The Champion Academy serves hundreds of urban teens in the Rochester region referred by principals, teachers, police officers, social workers, judges and/or community stakeholders as students in desperate need of “extreme mentoring” to graduate from high school and become positive and productive citizens.
