LILAC FESTIVAL SITE GROUND RULES
The following ground rules apply to the Festival Site within Highland Park.
Thank you for your help in ensuring the festival is a comfortable and enjoyable place for all visitors.

Please be aware of the changes to traffic patterns due to the Highland Park Traffic Control Plan. Follow the directions below to get to the festival effectively.
DON'T GET TICKETED OR TOWED
Be kind to the neighborhood and your pocketbook and obey the parking rules. Vehicles parked illegally on the side streets surrounding the Lilac Festival and Highland Park will be ticketed and/or towed.
PARKING RATES
Parking: $7.00 per car
PUBLIC PARKING
Close-in parking is available every day at three locations. If using driving directions or GPS, please enter
one of the following three Public Parking Lot coordinates in your destination field.
BUS & MOTOR COACH PARKING
Motor coaches and other group tour vehicles must stop at the bus and motor coach check-in booth at
the corner of Highland and South Avenues before discharging their passengers. Bus Drivers will be
directed to a drop off point close to the purple cross walk. Once passengers have been discharged,
vehicles will be directed to free parking.
The parade takes place on Saturday, May 13th at 10:30 am. It will begin et South Avenue at Science
Parkway, and travel down South Avenue to Highland Avenue ending at Goodman Street. High School
Marching Bands, Police Pipe & Drum, local dignitaries and colorful floats are expected to participate in
the parade.
PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES
People with disabilities who have a wheelchair hang tag should use Public Parking Lot 2 and enter from
South Avenue.
WEEKEND SHUTTLE SERVICE
Shuttle Service to and from the festival site operates continuously from 10:00am through 9:00pm each
Saturday and Sunday with pick up and drop off at the corner of South Avenue and Highland Avenue near
the entrance to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. Look for the signs. On the Parade Day Saturday, May
13 shuttle service will run to and from the festival site operating continuously from 8:30am through
9:00pm. Adult round trip shuttle cost is $5.00, children six and under ride free. Handicapped accessible
busses are available.
To use the Weekend Shuttle Service, park for free at Monroe Community College 1000 E Henrietta Road,
Rochester, NV 14623.
PARADE DAY EXTENDED SHUTTLE HOURS
On Lilac Parade day, Saturday, May 13, 2023, shuttle service will operate continuously from 7:30 am to 9:00 pm.

Pinetum Drive: One way Westbound, from South Goodman St. to South Avenue
Reservoir Avenue: One way Westbound, from Pinetum Drive/Doctors Drive to Mt. Hope Avenue
Doctors Drive: Closed to Through Traffic
Highland Avenue: One way Eastbound, from South Avenue to South Goodman Street
Robinson Drive: One Way Eastbound, from Mt. hope Avenue to South Avenue
Road Closures

Azalea Road between Elmwood Avenue and Highland Avenue
Laney Road between Elmwood Avenue and Highland Avenue
Gregory Hill Drive between Meigs Street and S. Goodman Street
Linden Avenue between South Avenue to Mount Hope Avenue
Art in the Park Closures
Reservoir Avenue between South Avenue and the Reservoir will be closed May 12, 13, & 14 and 19, 20,&21 for the art &
craft show. It will be closed 8am on Friday through 8pm on Sunday.
